What is CBD?

Let’s start with the basics. The full name for CBD is Cannabidiol, which is obtained by being extracted from the cannabis plant known as Hemp. Cannabis has two species of plants, one of them includes hemp. Hemp is a plant that is rich in CBD but also contains small traces of THC. The other species of Cannabis is Marijuana which contains much higher levels of THC and lower amounts of CBD.

In 2018, the Farm Bill passed, which legalized companies to grow, manufacture, and sell hemp to the general public. Nationwide, the ability to purchase and use CBD products is legal. When it comes to Marijuana, the laws vary from state to state. At a federal level, Marijuana is still illegal.

CBD products that contain small traces of THC are known as “Full Spectrum” products. Full Spectrum CBD products are derived from hemp and contain no more than .3% THC. Broad Spectrum CBD products contain 0% THC but still implement some of the terpenes and flavonoids that a Full Spectrum product does. Isolate products contain no THC or Terpenes, just CBD.

When THC and CBD interact with each other in a Full Spectrum product, it’s known as the entourage effect. Although a Full Spectrum oil contains THC, it has no psychoactive effects therefore you will not get “high” while using it. Many CBD users have found that using a Full Spectrum Oil has helped them much more than a Broad Spectrum product. This is why we focus on mainly carrying Full Spectrum products in our inventory.

The Endocannabinoid System in You

Naturally, everyone has an endocannabinoid system that is present in their body. Your endocannabinoid system plays a role in the way you act, sleep, manage pain, and much more.

Endocannabinoid receptors are also found naturally in your body. CB1 and CB2 receptors are the two primary endocannabinoid receptors.

CB1– Your CB1 receptors are mainly located in the central nervous system which influence
appetite, memory, and mood

CB2– Your CB2 receptors are mainly located in the peripheral nervous system which influences pain and inflammation

When taking a Full Spectrum CBD oil, it allows the THC to bind to your CB1 and CB2 receptors and then uses the CBD to stimulate them. Think of this as balancing out your system.

The Potential Benefits of CBD:

  • Pain relief
  • Anxiety and depression relief
  • Help eliminate sleep problems
  • Anti-seizure
  • Cancer treatment
  • Skin healing

These are just a few of the potentially life-changing benefits that CBD has to offer. Pretty amazing, right?

What's best for you?

It’s recommended that you consult a doctor first before using CBD. Once that’s all taken care of, you’re all set to explore the different CBD products available. From our personal experiences of working in the hemp industry, we believe that the most effective way to combat anxiety, sleep problems, and pain is to take a Full Spectrum CBD Oil that is highly concentrated in CBD (Nature’s Bloom 2,500 or 3000mg Oil).

Another great way to use CBD is to apply a CBD topical on the areas that are causing moderate to severe pain. Check out our 4,000mg Joint & Muscle Salve to help relieve that annoying pain in your back pain or swollen ankle.

How do you take CBD?

With the tinctures that Nature’s Bloom carries, it’s recommended that you start with a 1/4 dropper and allow or Nature’s Bloom Tincture Blend to absorb underneath your tongue for at least 60 seconds. This will give you a more clear idea of if you need to lower or increase your dosage.

  • Why take more than you need to? Stretch the bottle out so it lasts longer
  • Our CBD is very potent, not like the stuff you find at a smoke shop or gas station
  • You can always increase your dosage as needed

*Our topicals are meant for external use only, do not ingest*

CBD Pricing Explained

The amount of CBD in each bottle plays a HUGE role in the pricing! I’m sure that you’ve seen a 1-ounce bottle priced at $80. At first, it seems like you’re getting a great deal. But after you’ve been using the tincture for over a week, you’ve come to realize that the drops are making little to no difference in how you felt before starting CBD. Why is this?  Around the industry, many companies are selling low-quality products that contain only 250-500mg per ounce. In order to get your dose of CBD, it usually requires you to take much more drops at once to reach the desired dosage. It’s time to ditch those 400mg tinctures and switch to a tincture that will actually work.

For your reference:

$80 Competitions Tincture containing 400mg CBD= .20 Cents per mg of CBD
$139 Nature’s Bloom 2,5000mg CBD= .055 Cents per mg of CBD

All of our products are 3rd party lab-tested to ensure quality and potency. All lab tests for Nature’s Bloom can be found on our website.
